practice areas

I realize that you may eventually need to be involved in the legal system. Your livelihood may be affected, or maybe your relationship with the children in your life. I understand how important it is to make sure your rights are protected, while helping you be cost effective in achieving results you can be comfortable and happy with.
Adoption

The joy of parenthood is a gift to not just you, but a child in great need of permanency. Learn about the benefits of adoption and rewards of giving a child a forever home.

Alimony

Alimony is a financial obligation that you may have to address as part of your divorce. Alimony can play a large part in your divorce. It is important to have some one on your side who understands the law and your needs.

Timesharing with Chldren

I work hard to make sure your child gets the benefit of the time you have available for them. Whether its your first time or  your current situation deals with an established court order, you need an experienced professional to guide you.

Child Support

Child support can be a contentious issue in litigation. Don’t let the lack of representation cause unnecessary burdens for you and your child. Call me and I will make sure that best interests of your child is protected.

Estate Planning

A good Will can insure your wishes are followed upon your death and limit the confusion that often befalls those who are left behind. Good estate planning can also insure the assets you worked a lifetime for aren’t wasted by misfortune.

lgbt/glbt  rights

I am a vetted member of the Family Law Institute co-sponsored by the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the National LGBT Bar Association, since its inception. I am also a member of their Transgender Legal Institute. I have over 30 years of LGBT/GLBT advocacy experience and am a recognized expert in this area of law.

mediation

Mediation is a helpful tool which allows litigants settle their matters out of the courtroom. It gives litigants an opportunity to decide what is in the best interests of them and their children, without the limitations a judge would face.

military discharge issues

The status of a military discharge can cause difficulty in pursuing employment and affecting your eligibility for government services. If you feel that you have been improperly discharged from the military, I may be able to assist you.

military family Law

There are additional ways the law measures your Family Law case when Military Law is part of the equation. Military Family Law can easily become a profound subject.

paternity

Establishing paternity may become the first focal point of a bitter separation that involves children. If you may be the father of a child and are seeking to acknowledge your status, you are taking the right steps to shape your future as a potential parent.
